Theme for the Semester: Shake Up Creativity
What will you create? Everyone has the ability to produce powerful and meaningful art. As an artist, I appreciate out-of-the-box thinking; I enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums to see what results I can get. Whether it be photography, typography, graphic design or interactive media – shaking things up and breaking away from the typical design practices makes the work that much more interesting.

Multimedia allows us to communicate our ideas through the creative integration of images, text, audio and video. One of the most beautiful things about the artistic process is experimentation.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes – know that you have the ability to fix them.
Be resourceful – the answers are closer than you think.
Remember that everything we do in life is a process – it’s Ok not to get immediate results, they will come.
Philosophy of Teaching: I believe that project-based learning is essential for understanding. Allowing the student to apply the knowledge through experiencing the process results in a deeper absorption of the presented concepts. Through project-based learning I hope to present my students with challenges that will not only help them grow as learners, but also become teachers of their newly developed skills. By focusing on personal goals and self assessment, students will be able to track their progress and personal growth throughout the learning process to become better students and most importantly, better people.
